Heavenly skies

Reflections in the water

Hi my friends,
This was the view I had yesterday at the beach.
Isn't it gorgeous those big mountains of clouds reflecting in the waters at the beach?

Thank you very much for all your compliments to my featured photograph on FAA
I've appreciated your words here and over there on my facebook site too :)
I wish you a wonderful day!

Shadows at the Beach

In photography there are no shadows that cannot be illuminated.
~August Sander~

Hi my friends,

This is a picture of David and me yesterday at the beach.
It was a hot day yesterday and we've decided not to go to the beach before 7 p.m. and it was a good decision. The light at the beach was very nice and the shadows were getting long and longer, as you can see
it in our fun self portrait above.:))

I wish you all a fabulous day - Thanks for all the comments!

Bigfoot on the beach......???

"Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence".
Hi my friends,
Have I really seen Bigfoot at the beach?
I have the proof right here in the picture, look at: it is a BIG foot (print) in the sand, right?....LOL.....
take it as a joke and......"smile".....

Thanks for all your kind comments yesterday my friends, very much appreciated.
I wish you all a wonderful day :)

A Crab at the Beach

You cannot teach a crab to walk straight.
~Aristophanes~

Hi my friends,
I hope you all had a nice weekend. Thanks for all of you who came visiting my humbled blog and made a nice comment. I do very much appreciate that.

Today's crab in my photo was captured at Cocoa Beach - it was dead already, poor little crab!

I'm a "crab" or in better words, I'm a "cancer" in my sign zodiac, my Birthday will be coming up soon.
And, America is always so friendly and so splendid to me, the whole country is celebrating my Birthday with BIG fireworks and with wonderful music, extra for me - but always one day to early!!!
They just cannot wait, I guess...*smile*.... :))

Hammock Feelings

The "wish you were here" effect?
Captured yesterday in a private yard on the River at the pretty Space Coast of Florida.

Hi my friends,
Thank you, thank you for all your kind comments yesterday.
I do appreciate every single one.

The days are getting warmer now and finally, we can go "swarming out" again, like the bees in spring time do...*smile*... enjoying the warm sun on our shoulders - and taking some new pictures of course...*smile*....

See you all, stay tuned and come back.

House on the sand

"He who, having lost one ideal, refuses to give his heart and soul to another and nobler, is like a man who declines to build a house on rock because the wind and rain ruined his house on the sand."
~ Constance Naden ~

Hello my friends,

Yesterday I was to busy to post anything. I still want to say thank you for all your visits and kind comments to my Tsunami sign photo from Monday.
Thanks for coming back and to be my loyal friend.
See you tomorrow again :)

Have a wonderful day!

One Flap of a Seagull

“One meteorologist remarked that if the theory were correct, one flap of a seagull's wings would be enough to alter the course of the weather forever”

~ Konrad Lorenz ~

Hi my friends,

thanks for writing me such kind comments and compliments on my blog. You brighten up my day - because it's dark and rainy here in Florida where I'm sitting just now. And more rain is predicted for in the later afternoon. Anyway, one day... the sun will be back for sure, it's the Sunshine State and the name only is promise enough, right? :)

Let the sunshine in - and see you tomorrow again.

Susanne

Mr Sandman, bring me a dream....

Sand sculpture at Cocoa Beach, FL

Mr. Sandman,

bring me a dream (bung, bung, bung, bung)
Make him the cutest that I've ever seen (bung, bung, bung, bung)
Give him two lips like roses and clover (bung, bung, bung, bung)
Then tell him that his lonesome nights are over.
Sandman, I'm so alone
Don't have nobody to call my own
Please turn on your magic beam
Mr. Sandman, bring me a dream.

(scat “bung, bung, bung, bung.….)

Mr. Sandman, bring me a dream
Make him the cutest that I've ever seen
Give him the word that I'm not a rover
Then tell him that his lonesome nights are over.
Sandman, I'm so alone
Don't have nobody to call my own
Please turn on your magic beam
Mr. Sandman, bring me a dream.

(scat “bung, bung, bung, bung)

Mr. Sandman (male voice: “Yesss?) bring us a dream
Give him a pair of eyes with a “come-hither” gleam
Give him a lonely heart like Pagliacci
And lots of wavy hair like Liberace
Mr Sandman, someone to hold (someone to hold)
Would be so peachy before we're too old
So please turn on your magic beam
Mr Sandman, bring us, please, please, please
Mr Sandman, bring us a dream.

(scat “bung, bung, bung, bung….)

Hi my friends,

I bet, you all know the song about the Sandman, right? :)

I saw this cute sand sculpture of "Sandman" at Cocoa Beach, the same spot where I have photographed two days ago the launch of the Space Shuttle.

This is the Florida version of a Snowman from the North. His smiling face and the eyes are made with shells instead of coals and the good thing is, he don't melt in the sun :)

Thank you all for all the kind comments and compliments to my first Shuttle shots.
See'ya tomorrow!

Susanne

Let's go to the beach...

Cocoa Beach, Florida

Someday they
let's go to the beach
the sun is my way
going to the sea by the sunset highway
driving my car
going to the sea by the sunset highway
driving my car

See you at the night awake
in downtown making some friends
good to see you so alive
good to see you so alive
smoke some junks
drink some beers
and make love under the sun

Let's go to the beach
and swim away
let's go to the beach
and swim away

The Song of the Ocean

We have visited the beach yesterday

Hot sand under your feet and sunshine on your skin and in front of your eyes the endless view of the Atlantic Ocean

I LOVE to listen to the waves!

Don't talk, don't say anything, just listen!

There were also some surfers enjoying the braking waves

Men go abroad to wonder at the heights of mountains, at the huge waves of the sea, at the long courses of the rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motions of the stars, and they pass by themselves without wondering.

Saint Augustine

Hi my friends,

I hope you'll enjoy these wave photos like I did it for real yesterday. Watching them it's for me like meditation, like medicine for the soul. Next time I'll make a video, so you will be able to hear the song of the ocean too.

Thank you all for your wonderful comments to my post yesterday :)

Don't forget my CALENDARS 2010 are ready to buy NOW - Christmas is coming soon!

See you tomorrow, at the same spot, at the same time....

Do you know the formula for success?

"Would you like me to give you a formula for success? It’s quite simple, really. Double your rate of failure. You are thinking of failure as the enemy of success. But it isn’t at all. You can be discouraged by failure or you can learn from it, So go ahead and make mistakes. Make all you can. Because remember that’s where you will find success."

~ Thomas J. Watson ~

Hi my friends,

I'm late today with posting, I know. We have visited a friend and went out to the beach this afternoon - and it was very nice, but hot. I shot some beach scenes photos. It was overwhelming to listen to the sound of the breaking waves coming in to the shores, it was "high-tide" time. I will show you some of them maybe tomorrow, so be patience :)

Thank you for all the kind comments to my post from yesterday.
I'm glad you liked that nostalgic photo.

See you tomorrow, see you here!
